Have you ever wondered what Victorians wore before underpants were invented? Or how long it took to make breakfast on a cast iron range? Here at Rabbit Pie, we’re fascinated by the Victorian era; a time of incredible change, where the old world of wood and stone met the new world of steam and steel. A time when the quaint English countryside was rapidly crisscrossed with miles of railway lines and the rising middle classes had money to spend on, well, everything. Whether it’s a classroom session on how the different social classes got ready to face the day or a talk on the 1851 Great Exhibition, Rabbit Pie will take you on an immersive journey back to the Age of Steam. With a range of costumes and a hands-on collection of real artefacts to engage minds young and old, we’re waiting to bring Victorian domestic history to life for you.

At Rabbit Pie we help to bring Victorian domestic life to the classroom and beyond.
Rabbit Pie offer hands-on educational packages which can be tailored to suit each school's requirements, class age range and budget. We offer full and half days complete with costumes for teachers and children, a full handling collection, storytelling, demonstrations and both indoor and outdoor activities. We also work with home school groups. The full list of available activities and an example itinerary will be available soon.
